Pearce recall -- more dirty tricks

A robocall targeting LD18 voters, the Jerry Lewis vs Russell Pearce (recall) race, indicates it was funded by the Safeguard Arizona's Future committee. That committee's chairman, Ronald Edward Ludders, is a tea partier.

The obvious objective of the call is to get uninformed Democratic voters to cast a protest vote for neither Pearce nor Lewis. The voice is male and has an obvious Hispanic accent. The script says both candidates are Republicans and that the only other candidate, Olivia Cortes was "forced to withdraw."

Of course, if she felt like she was "forced" to withdraw, who forced her? Lewis had nothing bad to say about either her or her campaign. On the other hand, when Cortes' campaign collaborators were faced with being exposed in court, did they "suggest" she withdraw so that Lester Pearce would not face removal from his position as an elected Justice of the Peace?
